Vehicle Description
This 1973 Ford F-350 has a very distinct Super Camper Special
style. And today this full package represents a cool V8 classic
that never loses the ultra-capable utility that makes it a legend
in the truck world.
The brown and white two-tone is the kind of color combo you expect
in the 1970s, and so it gives this a nice vintage vibe. There's a
hint of metallic in the paint, the body panels look good, the glass
is clean, and you even have the full side trim of the premium
Ranger XLT package. It looks attractive, but it does not ever
approach anything that would be considered "fancy" because Super
Camper Special hangs its hat on being a true workhorse. Ford pushed
the rear axle to the back to elongate the wheelbase and make this a
better riding machine for those wanting to install a slide-in
camper. So not only is it useful, but it's also an instantly
recognizable distinction for those of us who love trucks. They even
had space to put the full-size spare under the special bed-side
compartment. Even the truck's name is unique. The Camper Special
was on Ford's books for many years before they created these
extreme rear-wheel machines. So when they upgraded the wheelbase
they also upgraded the name to a Super Camper Special. But the
"Super" was dropped after a few years when the Super Cab came
around. It's little details like this that remind you why we love
unique trucks. Today this one continues to have the look of ability
with the rear step bumper, towing mirrors, and a trailer hitch with
trailer brake control. Plus the special bed looks excellent with
its rugged yet clean liner paint. So you'll happily show off this
special feature and also still let it help you with the chores.
The interior mixes classic style with useful upgrades. For example,
pieces like the bench seat, carpeting, and dash pad have the
classic brown style, but they have the clean feel of a newer
investment. There are nice upgrades like an AM/FM digital tuner
with cassette and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will
need servicing to blow cold again.) And the upgraded Grant GT
steering wheel gives you an even more commanding driving
position.
This was born with a 390 cubic-inch V8, and we believe it to still
have this displacement under the hood today. But while this may
look stock, if you dig deeper, you can see it now inhales deeper
with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. And the full dual exhaust
lets this exhale with a subtly sweet proper V8 tune. Power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and a three-speed automatic
transmission are features to make your tasks and journeys easier.
And we bet you took notice of the HD-8-lug wheel setup done with
modern alloys and new rear tires.
The sale comes complete with nice paperwork like a Marti Report,
factory buildsheet, some original docs, and the maintenance
records. This is the kind of classic that impresses with its
enduring ability. And real truck people instantly recognize what
makes it extra-special. So don't miss this F-350. Call today!!!
