Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1978 Trans Am which is in very nice overall condition with low actual miles of 84,321. This is a very unique Trans Am in factory white paint over factory white and blue interior. The original owner had this car until 2021 when it was sold to one of his daughters friends after his passing. Original dealer docs and the original bill of sale and past titles confirm this. This Trans Am features a recent repaint in factory Cameo White with brand new decals, a beautiful white over blue interior, a nice running 400 Pontiac engine, and numerous original dealer docs and brochures. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Cameo White (code 11) over White/Blue (code 11N) standard vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured above. This TA is loaded with factory options like T Tops and AC.
Exterior
The Cameo White exterior is in great overall condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint in factory Cameo White recently and has a nice shine and the new decals were just installed and look perfect. The paint is in great overall condition and both bumpers are in good shape with no flaking or faded paint. Some photos are included in the gallery of the repaint in the booth and being assembled. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires are new and the 18" US Mag wheels were recently added. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original trunk mat and spare tire and jack.
Interior
The White and Blue deluxe vinyl interior of this Trans Am is in nice overall condition. It truly is unique and one of a kind and ordered this way from the factory. The original seat covers are in great overall condition but the drivers seat has a couple seam splits. The carpet is like new as with no stains, rips, or holes and was recently replaced. The original dash is in good condition and the dash bezel is in good condition as well. The original stereo works and sounds nice, and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in good condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner was replaced and is in good shape. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock, and the fuel gauge is intermittent. It either reads correctly or pegs past full. The stereo, wipers, horn, and blower motor all work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever, and the ashtray is very clean.
Mechanical
This Trans Am is in good mechanical condition with only 84,321 actual miles. The Pontiac 400 engine has plenty of power and drives well. This TA has had some recent upgrades by the second owner. He had new Magnaflow dual exhaust added which gives this TA a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. A new mini starter was added. A new fuel pump and rubber gas lines were added. New front and rear shocks were added with new front coil springs and sway bar end links. An aluminum radiator was added. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Trans Am is an good driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all the AC parts are in place and the system was working just fine last summer and blowing cold air. This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by its 2 previous owners and several wear items have been replaced. The outstanding way this TA looks and drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special TA.
