The 1955 Chevy Bel Air marked the first model year of the second generation of what has become one of the most iconic American cars from the '50s. The 1955 model range in general, and the Bel Air in particular, was a game-changer and a huge success for Chevrolet. This beauty is a 3-owner classic that still has the original owner’s manual and accessories pamphlet from 1955. Although the drive train has been upgraded, it still maintains the original exterior color and factory accessories as well as factory interior with modern upgrades. The rear end gears have been upgraded to 355 Posi’s, it has custom valve covers, a new upgraded Hydro-boost Brake System with 4- wheel disc brakes and Coker white wall tires with Cragar mags. It has an upgraded Matson Chrome Radiator, chrome Air conditioning Condenser, upgraded quick ratio steering box, upgraded front and rear suspension with a Flow master exhaust. The original 15-gallon gas tank has been upgraded to a 25-gallon Chrome gas tank. And don’t worry about not being seen when backing up, because they will hear you with the upgraded back up warning sound that is installed on this beauty.
The outside is all in its original color with graphite coating done less than a year ago to maintain and protect its beautiful paint job. It has electric wipers and all factory accessories including the grill guard, front and rear fender guards, gasoline tank filler guard, door handle shields, exhaust extension and body sill molding. The care and love that was poured into this vehicle is visible all the way down to the undercarriage.
