This 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu has the right style you want in
a true cruiser. Bright paint, bright chrome, a custom interior, an
overdrive transmission, and upgraded V8 power mean this is the icon

The trim tag tells us this Chevelle was born a red car. That nice
deep tone improves with a modern luster from a later respray. The
updated paint has a smoothness that helps show off the straight

pristine, but you can also see the thoughtfulness in the total
build. It's in how the dash was upgraded to a distinct wood-like
paint tone, and the steering wheel even coordinates. You can also
feel this is driver-oriented with the B&M floor shifter,
Sport-Comp under-dash auxiliary readouts, and a large
column-mounted tach.
Under the hood is a proper small block V8. The 350 cubic-inch V8 is
larger than any small block the factory offered in 1964, and it has
also been built with the best features. There's added performance
with a four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and
headers. There are also the right supporting components, like an
aluminum radiator and MSD ignition. The V8 fires up eagerly, and
the upgraded four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive makes
it easier to drive near or far in comfort. Add power steering,
brakes, and front discs, and you have an excellent all-around
cruiser.
