This 1951 Ford Woody exterior and interior has been perfectly restored to capture original cosmetics including vintage exterior wood for the ultimate classic red surfers’ Woody.
Under the hood and throughout the performance equipment, it’s one very fast street rod. In fact in 1996, it was the first street rod Woody ever built and shown at a recognized car show. Powered by a Chevy 383 Stroker Engine with Blower and state-of-the-art suspension, this Woody will leave modern street rods in it’s dust. There’s plenty of power to impress and out perform.
This beautiful Woody was the personal ride of Tim Mattson of Mattson’s Street Rods, Morro Bay, CA. Tim was a highly awarded and nationally recognized classic car and hot rod builder with a specialty in Woody builds. All of the builds including this Woody from Tim’s shop took top prizes in shows such as Blackie’s 50th Automrama, Good Guys Del Mar, Pebble Beach D’Elegance, Wavecrest, and Bonneville to name just a few. Every build was prize winning, but this Woody was the best of all.
As proof of how very special this vehicle was to Tim, it is the only build he refused to sell in all the years his shop was producing collector vehicles from 1996 through 2018. With his passing in 2019, Tim’s widow maintained and stored this Woody until now. It’s time to allow someone else to have the joy of owning this amazing and beautiful machine.
