1994
This beautiful fully restored Chevy 3100 3 window Pickup Truck was
purchased by the current owner in 1994 in good original condition.
From 1994 through 2009 the truck underwent a frame-off, methodical
restoration of every nut and bolt. The engine was replaced with a
1955 First Series Engine and was completely rebuilt by Nasco
Automotive Machine Shop in Saco Maine. This rebuild included
hardened valve seats so it could run on traditional unleaded fuel.
The interior was reupholstered by Ron Hicks of New Gloucester
Maine. The electrical system was converted to a 12V system during
this time as well.
Upon the truck's completion, the truck was used primary as an
advertising piece, being stored in a climate-controlled environment
with it primarily being on display inside at Handyman Equipment
Rental In Portland Maine. More recent work to it includes new front
and rear springs in 2016 and a new speedometer in 2018. The truck
has been driven very fee miles since its restoration.
The truck starts right up, runs and drives great and is a fun
driver's vehicle with the 3 on the tree transmission. Enjoy it as a
summer cruiser or use it as a marketing tool. This vehicle is ready
for a new owner that wants to show her off and have some fun.
