Vehicle Description
BUILD SHEET - ORIGINAL INVOICE - WINDOW STICKER
Cruisin Classics is very proud to present to you today this
incredible 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28! This Camaro is the type of
car that collectors are always hoping to find - it's a number
matching drivetrain, it comes with it's original build sheet,
window sticker, and California sales invoice, and to top it off
it's a rotisserie restoration that looks spectacular! This Z/28
definitely checks all the boxes! The engine and the Muncie 4-Speed
are both dated August 1970 and the car was assembled on September
11, 1970 - just 4 days before the infamous 67 day corporate strike
at GM. This car was originally painted Rosewood but now it's
dressed in a deep and glossy Hugger Orange with Black stripes - it
is an exceptionally nice paint job. This Z/28 is laser straight
down the sides with great panel fitment and even gaps. The front
view features a gleaming front bumper, jet-black grill with a crisp
Z/28 badge, and a black chin spoiler. As you walk around the car
you'll notice bright window moldings, hood edge molding, chrome
door handles, dual body-color side mirrors, and chrome rocker
covers - all adding to the cool overall look. Around back is a
3-piece rear spoiler, a flawless chrome bumper, chrome-ringed tail
lights, and chrome exhaust tips. This whole package sits atop
factory grey 5-spoke Rally wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial
T/A's. The underside of this beauty is just as nice as the top -
with newer exhaust, newer gas tank, newer brake lines, and
excellent floorpans. Under the hood is a very clean engine bay
housing the original numbers matching LT1 350ci (330hp) V-8 drseed
in a fresh coat of Chevy orange. The engine looks great with finned
Chevy logo valve covers and a chrome topped air filter. You'll
notice at the front of the engine that this car still has correct
smog equipment as well as power steering. Cast manifolds lead back
to a newer exhaust. The 350 is mated to the original numbers
matching 4-speed close-ratio Muncie transmission backed up by a
12-bolt rear with correct 4:11 gears - this Z/28 is born to run!
Stopping power comes from power disc/drum brakes with a dual
resevoir. When you open the drivers door and gaze inside you'll see
that the interior was given the same amount of attention as the
rest of the car. The black vinyl bucket seats are comfortable and
free of wear. Between the seats is a factory-ordered center console
that houses the 4-speed shifter with black pattern ball. Door
panels are OEM correct with armrests and crank windows. The black
vinyl headliner is tight and the black hook and loop carpet looks
great. The crack-free black dash is home to a faux burled wood
trimmed instrument cluster with 150mph speedometer, 8K tachometer,
fuel, amp, and temperature gauges, and a clock. The original Delco
AM radio is present, but inop.. The driver is treated to a special
order 4-spoke steering wheel with Chevy logo. In the glovebox there
is an original owners manual. Around back in the trunk there is a
grey vinyl mat, new door seals, carpeted "Z/28" floor mats, a
factory jack, and a full-spare on a factory wheel. If you're a
second gen. Z/28 fan, you are absolutely going to fall in love with
this car - it's the color, it's the engine, it's the 4-speed with
4:11 gears, and it's the provenance of a real-deal numbers matching
car with documentation! This car truly does check all the boxes!
Don't wait to call, there are Chevy fans world-wide who would love
to have this car in their collection!
