Vehicle Description
Patina is like a lightning rod for most of us today telling our
minds to "get ready for something special!" and this 1954 Ford
F-100 certainly delivers. Because beneath the workman style is a
custom/comfy air-conditioned interior, four-wheel disc brakes, an
upgraded suspension, solid 351 V8 power, and much more.
Patina is always nice on a classic pickup because it just reminds
us that these trucks were built to be rugged and work for
generations. But while the look is meant to be an uneven wearing of
time, this build also adds a uniform quality. The black wears down
to the same look of tarnished-like metal in all places, and there's
a matte clearcoat over the top to give it an even sheen without
ever making it flashy. A classic window sunshade and antiques
graphics on the doors continues the old-school charm, but this also
doesn't try to hide its street machine investments. The LED
headlights, mirror-like chrome bumpers, and large exhaust tips
highlight the true investment in this build. Even the bed has
beautiful newer wood on the floor, and now houses practical pieces
like a wooden toolbox and a spare tire. And the lowered stance and
17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels signal even larger
investments beneath the skin.
The interior starts to reveal just how thoughtful this build really
is. There's a clean and sleek copper color used for the door tops
and dash. It carries a similar tone to what's under the black
exterior paint to create the patina look. So there's a visual
appeal here where it just feels like they took extra time and care
in planning this custom pickup. Dual bucket seats with plenty of
bolstering, plush carpeting, and custom door panels make this far
nicer than any pickup out of the 1950s. There are other worthwhile
upgrades, like cold-blowing air conditioning, a center console, a
mounted fire extinguisher, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth.
There's an instant feeling of a driver's pickup with the Grant
sports steering wheel, a tilt steering column, power steering, a
Lokar shifter, and Omega Kustom gauges.
Tilt the hood forward to showcase an engine bay with plenty of
added style and substance. The big air grabber, polished valve
covers, tidy inner walls, and more all make this ready to show off.
At the center is a 351 cubic-inch Cleveland V8 where the low
mileage on the odometer also represents the low mileage on the
motor. And it has been enhanced with Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor and an Edelbrock high-rise intake. There are also the
right fundamentals with new wiring, a serpentine belt system, an
upgraded aluminum radiator, and electric fans. In fact, we have a
huge file documenting the full restoration/transformation of this
truck since 2017, and the total is claimed to be over $100k! The
investments include a rebuilt three-speed automatic transmission
and a Mustang II-style independent front end, and four-wheel power
disc brakes. So you know this patina classic is built to be a
proper driver.
The sale comes complete with the extra keys, service manuals,
maintenance records, title documentation, and plenty of build
receipts showing the six-figure restoration. It all proves that
this custom patina pickup is pure awesome. Call today!!!
