Road Test Notes:
This '39 is a strong runner. The recently rebuilt 383 stroker SBC starts easily and strong sounding exhaust tone. It idles with the indication that the camshaft has been replaced with performance in mind. The Mustang II front clip along with the rear sway bar and gas shocks improve the 39’s drive ability and comfort. It stops smoothly and straight without pulling or drifting. The car has a nice road feel that is smooth while acknowledging road changes without sacrificing ride quality. The chassis has held up well and still producing a quality driving experience as do the recently rebuilt motor and the addition of the 4L60E OD automatic transmission. The electrical system and all gauges are fully operational.
