This vehicle is an excellent condition 1965 Ford Galaxy 500 LTD. This Galaxy may be one of the best condition 1965 Galaxy in existence today having undergone a Off- Frame, Rotisserie, Nut and Bolt restoration in 2004. Documented original miles 66,350. The 352 Cid V-8 cylinder engines is matched to three speed automatic transmission is original and both have been completely rebuilt in 2004.I have extensive documentation from Ken Hopcraft a master mechanic from Ontario Canada who oversaw the restoration. I have been told this vehicle looks very original under the hood and looks exactly as it may have the day it arrive at the dealer on its first day of ownership. The vehicle features power steering, power brakes, tinted windows, and fully functioning original air conditioning which has been converted by current owner to 134A. The restoration added a few upgrades including disk brakes on all four utilizing a “Baer” conversion kit with a Willwood adjustable proportioning valve. The tires are 235-50-R18 in front and 255-45- R18 in rear ,all are Kamba Ecsta ASX black walls and are new and matched to American Racing Hopster billet/chrome wheels with billett center caps and chrome nuts. The vehicle also features the following all all new: Petronix electronic ignition, Addco sway bars, adjustable KYB shock absorbers, rear air bag type suspension, stainless steel brakes lines, duel brake master cylinder, brake booster. Further power steering pump, alternator and starter have been rebuilt. The dual exhaust system is a new custom bent stainless steel type 2 1/4 inch piping and three chamber Flowmaster mufflers. The 9 inch differential has 3.00 gears. Features an aluminum four barrel Edelbrock intake manifolds and a new Edelbrock 600 cmm four barrel carburetor. The Caspian Sea Blue exterior paint is mesmerizing and is considered in excellent condition as the shine shows. Interior is excellent with beautiful multicolored blue cloth seats and blue carpet all in excellent condition. Dash is excellent with all functional garages and features. Original radio is in dash however a prior owner has included a Pioneer AM/FM CD player with a CD changer and Bazooka subwoofer in the trunk. Those seeking originality can easily remove the upgraded sound system.
On exterior all chrome including bumpers were re-chromed by Midway plating and look brand new today. All badging are in excellent condition. The headlamp are new halogen and bezels as well are new.
As the photos show the underside has been sealed and treated and is as clean as the top side. I have seen few vehicles with this excellent condition underside.
The vehicle driving experience is excellent as the suspension and power steering and engine power combine to create a smooth superior ride with plenty of power.
