Vehicle Description
Sometimes you just don't want to have to bother being subtle with
your intimidation, and that's why this custom 2002 Ford Ranger
exists. With its distinct patina wrap, full custom interior, and a
suspension that kisses the sky, it will be hard to find a more
distinct vehicle out there for the money.
Everything about this Ranger looks like a prerunner on steroids.
After all, it has a ton of professional-level off-road equipment,
but the extra lift in the stance, added hood scoop, red tinted
windows, and the cool red patina wrap let you know this one is not
just going to roll through the remote Baja desert... it also wants
to be seen on Saturday night on Main Street. But just because this
likes attention doesn't mean it should be dismissed as glamour
muscles. There are extra rugged features like the steel front
bumper with beefy tow hooks, LED lighting, and a large brush guard.
The sides have big fender flares and steel rocks slider in-between.
And those 17-inch wheels know how to hold onto those off-road tires
properly because those are real beadlock units.
The interior shows more of why this is such a cool custom. It's a
nicely laid out red and gray total package that also has a
flame-kissed look everywhere from the glovebox to the gauges. The
full custom presentation of the door panels, dash, and upholstery
shows a very large commitment to detail. We also like that this
keeps a loaded level of features with power windows, power locks,
power mirrors, cup holders, and provisions for air conditioning (it
will need servicing to blow cold again.) The stereo is a
touchscreen infotainment unit that includes AM/FM and Bluetooth. It
runs the custom audio system with the Memphis audio amp and sub in
the rear of the extended cab. The driver's seat is a true command
position for more than just the tall ride height. You have a Billet
Specialties steering wheel, a tilt column, and added Glowshift
A-pillar gauges.
Under the hood is the Ranger's 4.0-liter V6. It's a longstanding
torque-filled powerhouse, and this was its largest evolution that
also includes fuel injection. And of course, there's the awesome
suspension. This is sitting on a full custom setup that offers at
least 10 inches of lift. And we love how they took the time to
color match the tubular steel front end in a gray that matches the
wheels and interior. Even the beefy rear axle is done in a
coordinating red. Plus, the King coilovers with remote reservoirs
and big Super Swamper tires make sure that you can keep going even
when the trail ends. The four-speed automatic transmission, power
steering, and Baer four-wheel power disc brakes mean it has street
cruiser potential, too.
This is an impressive total build for both style and substance. So
if you want to stand above them all (literally and figuratively)
this custom Ranger is the right one Call today!!!
