Vehicle Description
This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette is one of the most affordable ways to
get a distinct classic that's a standout in any crowd. It's a
final-year C3 with a shining two-tone, fuel-injected V8 power, an
overdrive transmission, and a loaded leather interior.
There's a certain sophistication about this Corvette. The
factory-correct Silver Metallic and Dark Claret two-tone is a rare
treat. And that fiery red stripe used as a dividing line makes sure
this coupe is memorable. Not only is this glossy and vibrant color
theme striking, but it looks as if they took the time to add
quality during a respray. So there are details like the pinstripe
is now under the clearcoat for a smoother and more permanent style.
This was the last of the C3 Corvettes, which was the
longest-running generation, and so you're going to see some earned
reverence all over this car. The low odometer is even believed to
reflect the full mileage (average only around 1400 miles annually.)
So you can see the details nicely, like the polished factory
alloys, a nice factory body kit, and the two reds outlining of the
power dome on the hood. It's all about a coupe that makes an
impression even when standing still.
The interior is the factory-correct Dark Claret leather, and so it
looks great against the paint. It's a highly original setup with a
few signs of driver enjoyment, but the level of preservation should
get Corvette enthusiasts quite excited. Plus, this classic has true
appeal because it's loaded with options like power windows, power
locks, power mirrors, tilt steering column, electric rear defrost,
and factory air conditioning converted to R134a (it likely needs a
recharge to blow cold again.) This true classic is still a driver's
car, and so they upgraded your music with an AM/FM/CD stereo with
USB input, but the stock Delco unit also comes with the sale. For
the driver, your seat power adjusts to the ideal position. There's
a three-spoke sports steering wheel on a tilt column. Beyond that
is the large speedometer and tachometer package in front and a full
gauge panel prominently to the side. So it's the right kind of
weekend fun machine where you can show this fantastic interior to
the world as you go cruising around with the radio up and the
T-tops off.
The 1982 drivetrain was a preview of the new C4 Corvette. The
fuel-injected Cross-Fire 350 cubic-inch V8 is a torque-filled and
powerful upgrade only available on the 1982 C3. Plus, the date code
and partial VIN are all indicators that this should be the original
powerhouse. This has been a well-respected car, and so the V8 fires
up with the kind of ease and consistency that makes us love
fuel-injected machines. And while features like power steering and
a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive make it a
fantastic highway cruiser, this classic is always up to release its
wild side. After all, the fully-independent sports suspension and
four-wheel power disc brakes are the kinds of things that will make
you want to add to the low odometer.
The sale comes with the title documentation, owner's manual, and
T-top storage bags. This is your chance at a distinct T-top classic
at a great price. Don't miss out, call today!
