This is #s matching motor trans and rear. It has the performance
350 hp with a 4-speed and a posi. Factory air conditioning makes it
even more desirable. Older frame off restoration, we just spent
$3,950 servicing the car.
EXTERIOR: The body looks great. It is straight and fits very well.
Only very minor typical hairline cracks in a few places. The t-tops
and rear window are all removable and store behind the seat. It's a
gorgeous color! The chrome looks like it's been replaced. New
reproduction antenna, optional luggage rack and optional louver
inserts on the front fenders. New windshield. The weatherstrips
were replaced. Correct 15x8 wheels with shiny new trim and they are
wrapped in BFG tires.
INTERIOR: The carpet was replaced front to back. New door panels
and window cranks. New upholstery, the seat backs and headrests are
excellent. The dash pad and instruments are in great shape. The
console area could use a little dialing in. It has the correct
4-speed shifter. New retro stereo with aux plug, new speaker. I
really like the leather wrapped steering wheel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: # s matching 350-350 hp motor. It has stock
manifolds, finned valve covers, and ignition shielding. It even has
the smog equipment hooked up. There is also a rare factory air
conditioning system all hooked up. The components look clean and
proper. Bottom side of the hood could use a fresh coat of
black.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for restoration. The chassis
is all smooth, solid metal painted semi-gloss black. The floors are
clean raw fiberglass. The spare tire carrier is complete. The front
end steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. In back the
independent suspension looks like it was apart during restoration.
The shocks look new. These have disc brakes at all four wheels. The
hoses, cables and lines were replaced. It has a correct type dual
exhaust system the chrome tips going through the rear valance.
Looking up at the motor it is clean, fuel pump and starter look
fresh. The M20 Muncie 4-speed trans is VIN # matching. It has it's
original 3.36 posi rear.
SERVICE: We inspected this car and invested $3,950 making it right
for you. We rebuilt the carb, adjusted the clutch, replaced the
reverse light switch and headlight switch, fixed vacuum leaks
related to wiper and headlight doors, fixed horn, removed
transmission to change speedo gear, replaced amp gauge and temp
sensor, installed new retro stereo and speakers, repaired brake
lights, replaced taillight lenses, replaced lock cylinders and
replaced front left caliper.
CONCLUSION: Bottom line this is a very desirable 350 hp, air
conditioned Vette with a 4-speed and it's #s matching. It was frame
off restored, we did an extensive service, a few more little detail
items will make this a great car. It sure is beautiful!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
