The absolutely iconic lines of the 1955 Chevrolet 210 have been
given a full restomod modern makeover. After all, this coupe has an
unbelievably slick two-tone, an A/C interior, a fuel-injected V8,
and even an overdrive transmission. So it's the classic that you
can drive anywhere and love to show off everywhere.
The Tri-Fives were known for their two-tone presentations, but this
one likes to make sure it distinguishes itself in the first
impression. After all, the factory never offered a cool package
that utilized silver and dark gray. There's even plenty of metallic
in both to let two modern colors glow in the sunshine. This is a
big power machine, and it shows through the large exhaust tips,
lowered stance, and 18-inch US Mags alloys. And the way the
upgraded wheels allow for modern rubber tells this one wants to be
driven. But you're not interested in this one just because of the
upgrades. We are told the consignor has had the car for years in
the family, and the way everything fits together is certainly a
sign of long-term respect. The lines are clean, the
weather-stripping is pliable, the doors close with confidence, and
the chrome is bright. While the full package is impressive, our
favorite part might just be the upgraded Bel Air side trim that
separates the two paint colors along the profile. It has a sporty
style with a red insert that also gives you a preview of the
interior.
Just like the exterior, the interior's full package was made to be
custom and attractive while still respecting its vintage roots. For
example, you still have classic bench seats, but now they offer
plush individual bolstering for superior comfort. The carpeting,
door panels, trunk, and dash all are done in a coordinating red,
and they have the inviting look of a proper investment. Even the
dome light greets you when the door opens. You'll also love the
features like the cold-blowing air conditioning, cup holders, and
AM/FM/CD radio with Bluetooth (it's hidden in the glovebox so you
can have the classic radio on display.) And there's a proper
driver's package with upgrades like the sports steering wheel and a
Bosch temp gauge under the dash.
The engine bay is another area of this custom that's ready to
showcase. It looks impressive with smooth inner fenders, just the
right amount of polish, and good fundamentals (hoses, wires, and
belts.) While this looks quite nice, what you'll really love is how
this is a great bookend for a legendary powerhouse. The 1955 Chevy
introduced us to the small block V8, and this 350 cubic-inch unit
with center-bolt covers and Tuned-Port electronic fuel injection
was one of its final evolutions. Plus, the headers add power while
contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. It has been built
to be a great anytime/anywhere cruiser with upgrades like power
steering, power brakes, front discs, and the grip of modern
performance tires. This even has thoughtful pieces like an aluminum
radiator with new dual electric fans to help keep this running cool
even when you're in traffic with the A/C pumping. And there's a
recently rebuilt (2022) four-speed automatic transmission with
highway-friendly overdrive for easy trips near or far.
Complete with maintenance records, this is the kind of custom that
impresses with its looks, comfort, quality, and of course, serious
power. Call today!!!
