For Sale: 1995 Chevrolet S10 in Morgantown, Pennsylvania
In response to the Arab oil embargo of the early 1970s and further
inspired by the popularity and success of Japanese pickup trucks
later on in the 1980s, Chevy became the very first of the big three
American auto manufacturers to introduce a compact pickup truck.
The 1982 Chevy S10 marked the first generation of this compact
pickup, valued for its affordability and customization potential.
Although the Chevy S10 was officially discontinued in 2004, it
hasn't disappeared completely. In fact, it's simply been
re-imagined. You might be able to find used S10 pickups wherever
you find Chevy trucks for sale, and you can certainly find an
extensive inventory of Chevy Colorado pickups, which ultimately
replaced the S10 to great acclaim.
For consignment, in full tangerine dream form, a nifty 1995
Chevrolet S-10 pickup. This compact pickup sports tinted glass,
black accenting over the orange, a custom bed liner and black vinyl
covering and some sporty rubber to burn when out for a fast drive
with the big V8 under the hood.
Due to varying emissions control devices being removed, please

department to verify the ability to legally register this vehicle

Exterior
Aero design was all the rage in the mid 1990's and the Euro
influence had taken over This truck borrows from that concept, and
has plenty of rounded, smoothed over surfaces. A black chin spoiler
equipped bumper surround is just the beginning of the truck up
front which leads upward to the built in headlight and grille along
with the bumper in orange. An aluminum rear scooped hood is very
lightweight and be careful not to bend it when you open it! Tinted
glass is on the cab which uses black trimmings and various plastic
art vents around the windows on either side. All straight steel
with well minded gaps are seen throughout the orange surfaces which
have no rust. On the back is a nice long bed covered with a black
vinyl topper. Underneath is a texture orange painted bed to add
some toughness and it does not have a mark in it! The rear for the
truck has been modified for a more aero look with tail lights under
smoked plastic, and a shaved bumper now flush with the rear
tailgate and roll pan, and all orange. This truck rides on 15-inch
JEGS Sport Star wheels and these are wrapped in front by 215/70R15
on front and larger 275/60R15's on back, all Copper Cobra raised
white letter tires from 2020.
Interior
A swing of the doors and we see futuristic black molded panels for
the doors. These have a molded in speakers and some lower storage
space within their confines. Inside two tone charcoal gray
suede-like insert and orange vinyl bolstered Tanaka high back
racing buckets are your chairs to choose from. Up front under a
deep slightly rounded over visor, white faced black bezel
instruments take over and give you all the data you need for the
motoring of this truck while driving. An aftermarket Pioneer
AM/FM/CD digital radio is in place of the factory radio and this is
flanked in the right by the climate turn knobs. Floating in the
central hump, all covered in black clean carpeting, is a B&M
shifter within its own private black plastic console. The headliner
is smooth charcoal gray and looks fantastic above this orange
highlighted menagerie.
Drivetrain
Under the hood is now residing a 350ci crate V8. Ourconsignor
statesit has 290hp's but is not documented so we will take his word
for it. A single 4-barrel carburetor is atop this mill and on back
is a 700R4 4-speed automatic tranny. The rear axle specs as a 10
bolt 3.08 Posi version. Headers and supple hoses and wiring abound
for this newer mill.
Undercarriage
All clean and just a very light coating of surface rust on the
framing but certainly unremarkable. I see dual exhaust with dual
Turbo mufflers snaking their way to a dual passenger's side exit.
Independent coil springs are in front, and leaf springs with some
traction bars are in back. For the woah! factor, power disc braking
is in front, and power drums on back. There are no catalytic
converters.
Drive-Ability
This sporty S-10 orange crusher fired right up and ran like a house
on fire. It had fantastic acceleration, smooth shifting and handled
nicely. A very all working magnetically attractive version if I
must say so myself!
Some extra aero mods, orange crusher paint, and a nifty interior
with a 350ci crate engine and we are in economy mode only in looks.
It's a screamer and worth the price of admission in my mind!
