Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1972 International Scout
II, a sharp truck finished in sage green metallic with a white hard
top (a black Softopper full soft top in nearly new condition is
included with the sale). Paint and body present to a driver
standard - floors and cab supports are solid with no known rust;
there is one tiny hole in the driver's side rocker, and a few small
bubbles that don't detract from the overall look are present on the
passenger side rocker. Steel wheels with rare factory hubcaps in
good condition are wearing 31x10.50 mud tires with 2020 date codes.
We have always liked the early Scout II grille (this design with
the horizontal vents was available in 1971 and 1972 only).
Interior presents nicely with newer seat upholstery and carpets.
Correct early Scout II low-back bucket seats are installed up
front, with the factory bench seat in the rear. A GRC roll bar has
also been installed, with three point seat belts in front and the
option to install three-point belts in the rear (lap belts are
currently present for the rear seat). Original wheel has a period
wrap; original factory gauges are working. The original AM radio is
still present in the dash for a correct appearance, but a tiny
bluetooth stereo has been mounted beneath the dash for streaming
audio phone pairing.
This is a well optioned truck with a 304 cubic inch V8, automatic
transmission, power steering and power brakes (front disk). Recent
front end and steering box rebuild (along with a rear differential
reseal). Two-barrel carb with manual choke. This Scout starts
easily and runs and drives well - it's a presentable driver with a
great look at an approachable price point. For more information
