with the 2.0L Rover 4 cylinder producing 122 bhp!Morgan Motor
Company is a British car manufacturer founded in 1909 by Henry
Frederick Stanley Morgan in Malvern, Worcestershire, England. The
company is known for producing hand-built sports cars that combine
traditional design with modern technology. In 1936, the company
introduced its first four-wheeled car, the Morgan 4-4. The 4-4 was
a compact sports car with a lightweight body and a four-cylinder
engine. The car was a success and remained in production for over
70 years, making it the longest-running production car in history.
During World War II, the Morgan factory was used to produce parts
for military aircraft, but production of cars resumed in 1946. In
the 1950s and 1960s, Morgan produced a range of sports cars,
including the Plus 4 and the Plus 8. These cars featured larger
engines and more advanced suspension systems than previous
models. The Morgan +4 was first produced in 1950. It was an
evolution of the previous Morgan 4-4 model, but with a larger
2.0-liter engine and a more modern four-speed transmission. The +4
also had a stronger chassis and improved suspension compared to the
4-4, which made it a more capable sports car. The +4 remained in
production until 1969, and during this time, it went through
several iterations with different engines, including a 2.2-liter
version and a 2.5-liter version. The +4 was later reintroduced in
1985 and has been in production on and off ever since. The +4 which
we are presenting here today was newly ordered by her last (and
first) Belgian owner back in 1989 at Garage Alberts in Brussels,
Belgium. She was finally delivered, after a 3 year wait, in 1992.
He has since taken great care of her. He ordered her in a
non-standard Connaught Green paint with black leather interior and
chrome spoke wheels. She has been configured in a great classic
British colour which compliments her curves very well. She is in
good condition overall with her bodywork presenting well for her
age and mileage. She has been driven for 90.000 km since new, so
she has barely run in... The wooden floor and frames are in good
condition throughout and show no rot. How many cars can you buy
with actual wood? Morgan, to this day, still uses genuine wood in
their cars to honour their history.Mechanically, she is ready for
many more fun miles blasting down country lanes with fellow classic
cars or with your partner on a sunny summer's day. Her 2.0L Rover
engine produces a lovely classic sound that will make you and your
passenger smile on every drive. The gearbox and mechanicals feel
great, but we didn't expect anything less as she was lovingly cared
for by her only owner. A lot of documents are present, including
the original bill of sale and the communication with the factory in
Malvern. The slide-on windows are also present. What are you waiting
for? Summer is right around the corner, so it is time to get
yourself a classic British roadster to enjoy the countryside on a
lovely sunny day! But don't forget your sunscreen...
