This 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce convertible is powered by a Weber-carbureted 1,779cc inline-four mated to a rebuilt five-speed manual transmission. Under the seller’s 14-year ownership, it has been garage-kept and has received mechanical work to the cooling system, exhaust, suspension and disc braking system. Finished in Blue with a tan cloth retractable top over a brown vinyl interior, this Spider is offered now with a convertible boot, certificate of origin, service records and Ontario registration.
The Blue (AR323) exterior finish, reapplied in 2018, is complemented by a tan cloth retractable top. Features include headlight covers, driver-side side-view mirror and split chrome bumpers. The seller notes that there is a small tear in the roof, and there is some corrosion in the flooring of the body near the driver-side jack point.
Aluminum 15-inch five-spoke wheels with Alfa Romeo-branded center caps are wrapped in newer 195/55-sized Yokohama Advan tires.
The two-seat interior is fitted with Skai Amaranto (brown) vinyl bucket seats, matched to the door panels and carpeting. The black dash is in good condition and features amenities including a wood-rimmed steering wheel, lap belts, radio and carpeted trunk.
Jaeger-branded instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, tachometer and supporting gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 43,170.
The 1,779cc twin-cam inline-four was originally fuel-injected but is now fed by dual Weber carburetors. Recent maintenance includes an oil change, replacement of the tachometer cable and coolant replacement. Additionally, the water pump was replaced in 2021, the radiator hoses were changed in 2012 and the exhaust was replaced in 2011. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rebuilt five-speed manual transmission. There is some surface rust in the engine compartment per the seller’s remarks.
The springs and shock absorbers were replaced in 2021. Stopping power comes from four-wheel disc brakes, with the brake pads and calipers having been replaced in 2018.
The sale includes service records, black vinyl convertible boot and certificate of origin dated March 2023.
