For Sale: 1937 Ford 2-Dr Coupe in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Wow! What a looker! Though this car may be a replica, it's not every day you see an old school race car like this cruising past. Equipped with a Flathead V8 that dates to 1946 and a 3-speed manual transmission, this '37 Ford is a beautiful representation of what once was. But make no mistake, this is a real steel '37 Ford!

BODY OVERVIEW: This '37 Ford was restored and modified to represent a real race car that existed in the past. It was put together in what we would describe as 'pre-race condition,' meaning it doesn't have many of the battle scars you'd expect to see on a race car. That being said, there are some minor nicks as seen in the photos because this borderline race car has seen a few parade laps at places like Rockingham, Darlington, and even the sand at Daytona Beach.

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint on this car is well done, perhaps better than the original car ever had! The overall scheme is so authentic that the headlight and taillights are just decals and the passenger door even has a leather belt holding it closed with the B-pillar. The scheme is intended to be an accurate rendition of an original scheme. This car was built by NASCAR driver Tighe Scott (6th place finisher in the 1979 Daytona 500) as a tribute to his uncle Vic Cesare.

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Truth be told, there's not much of an interior since this is a race car replica! However what is there is in very good condition, and presents extremely well despite minor signs of use.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Although in true race car fashion the engine lacks a choke (and requires a little starting fluid on startup), the 1946 Ford 59AB truck flathead runs just like you would expect it to, very smoothly and makes a great sound. The engine bay presents as one would anticipate for a race car. and the GM alternator is a worthwhile upgrade future owners will appreciate.

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: That classic race car look!

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you're looking for power options, this car isn't for you.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Not unless you want to make it fully street legal! In that case it will need a lot.

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Whether you're looking for a fun display piece for your collection, or something really unique to take to an event, this car could be for you!
