With a midnight black package, custom interior, and a fuel-injected
small block under the hood, this 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
restomod takes the classic style you love and delivers added
attitude.
Black always has an appeal on classics, and the trim tag says it
was born a black car. There was respray later in life, meaning
there's a good gloss. It's an attractive package that never loses
the driver-quality and driver-ready style that makes it such a
great car to hit the road. After all, a Z-car was made to be out on
the streets as the initiator. The darker/meaner attitude goes well
with aggressive pieces like the wraparound chin spoiler, slotted
fender vents, and color-matched wheels. The black also showcases
the Z/28's bold stripe package finished in two tones of orange.
This showcases the sporty hood scoop, flared fenders, and
three-piece rear spoiler.
The black interior continues this car's factory-correct color
presentation. But you can tell there were investments to enhance
both performance and comfort. This starts with the Procar front
bucket seats offering better bolstering than the factory provided
in '78. These seats, as well as the rear bench, carpeting, door
panels, and dash, all have a clean and dark style of an attractive
coupe. There are cool features like power windows and upgraded
AM/FM/CD stereo (it will need wiring/installation to function.) An
armrest center console, B&M shifter, NK4 sports steering wheel,
and tilt column make this a great driver's coupe. And the EFI
controller gives a hint of something special under the hood.
The Z/28s of this generation were desirable because they had a
stout 350 cubic-inch V8. This one takes that legacy up a notch. It
has been upgraded with an Edelbrock suite that includes the intake,
air cleaner, and valve covers. It's then topped up with a FiTech
electronic fuel injection system, giving you better power and
consistency. The V8 fires readily like a FI machine should and
makes a sweet rumble out of dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers.
And the power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, grippy
BF Goodrich T/As, and sway bars front & rear are great anytime
driving features. Plus, the upgrade to four-wheel power disc brakes
delivers superior stopping power.
This has the classic Camaro look you love but with the style,
comfort, and power investments that make it distinct and
irresistible. Call now!
