For Sale: 1979 Ford Bronco in Mesa, Arizona

Vehicle Description

You can get all the workhorse features you want in a 4x4 SUV, and still not have to give up the cool vintage appearance. This attention-grabbing 1979 Ford Bronco gives you the larger V8, an enhanced stance, and nice extras like cold-blowing A/C. And everything from the distinct grille to the '70s pattern of the suppletory tells you this is a true classic.

There's a nice classic look to this Bronco. It utilizes all the best things you want in a classic American, including two-tone paint, plenty of well-placed trim, big chrome bumpers, and a road-owning presence. And we love the 1979 Bronco because it's distinct. Ford only offered this body style for two years and it carried the face of a unique update to the F-Series trucks. So these always have a special place in the 4x4 world. The way you should view this one is as a true classic that's still a proper workhorse. The lifted stance and newer Goodyear Wrangler tires (2022) make this quite handy, and the overall exterior presentation is about remaining trail ready rather than just staying idle at a museum. That's an attractive idea for those of us who want to show up in something memorable everywhere from a mud park to a remote campsite.

The interior is a terrific presentation of the 1970s-style cloth weave pattern within the blue seats. It all looks largely stock and clean. Plus, there's the right work-ready attitude with nice additions like the rugged 1979 rubber floormats and a power readout under the dash. As a premium Ranger XLT trim package you get some nice wood grain appliques on the doors, steering wheel, and dash. There are some nice stock features like the fingertip cruise control buttons, stock AM/FM stereo, working interior lights, and the power rear window. And of course, the removable fiberglass hardtop rear is a lot of fun for opening this 4x4 up to the world. And when you do that, there's cold-blowing R134a air conditioning to make sure a day out is a comfortable one.

Under the hood is the best option of them all. This generation Bronco was known for really upgrading the V8 power, and the Marti Report indicates this one had the best of them all. Not every Bronco of this era got the 400 cubic-inch V8, and so it's great to still have the correct displacement under the hood. In fact, the full presentation looks quite stock and well-maintained. There are even newer items like the hoses and Optima red top battery. Plus, we have a recent receipt for a new steering assembly, and the undercarriage photos show newer front-end components, bushings, and shocks. So it's a stout package that reinforces this 4x4's useful attitude. And for the days you just want to go to the hardware store, the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front all mean this Bronco can run around town with ease.

The sale comes complete with the Marti Report, owner's manual, and maintenance records. This is the cool and rare two-tone second-gen Bronco with a true vintage style and work-ready attitude. Call today!!!
