One of the last series of cars Carroll Shelby contributed towards
before his passing. The 45th anniversary GT350 had only a total of
159 produced and of those 159 only 44 were deemed with the R
package giving them a ford racing/Whipple supercharger. This
beautiful Shelby GT350R is a 1 owner fully documented car with just
4,100 original miles! To top that off story goes that Carroll
Shelby hand tested all 44 supercharged Gt350's before they were to
leave the shop and delivered to their owners.
EXTERIOR: Finished in Performance white with $4500 optioned full
painted over the top guardsman blue racing stripes, this GT350R is
in immaculate condition on the exterior. The Sex appeal is not
lacking anywhere on this car. It has that Shelby look to it that
separates it from the rest of the mustangs on the market. These
Shelby's were equipped with 19" Shelby/Cragar wheels, Baer 6 piston
front brake kit, Shelby front fascia including grille and badging,
rear fascia with dual center exhaust, taillight trim, deck lid
trim, side rockers w/ functional scoops, and Shelby specific
hood.
INTERIOR: This particular GT350 stands out from the rest. That's
because Carroll Shelby Handpicked this one specifically for the
different tan colored interior. Making this car a 1 of 1! The
interior has the dash plate with Shelby CSM number and VIN, a
pillar mounted gauge package including fuel pressure, oil pressure,
and boost gauges. GT350 center console covers embroidered headrests
and floor mats, kicker premium audio, and custom interior upgrade!
The interior is immaculate and presents itself like new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is an impressive sight to see.
You're looking at the aluminum 5.0L V8 fitted with a ford
racing/Whipple supercharger. Giving this beast of a car 624HP at
the instant response of the throttle. The engine is mated to a 6spd
manual trans for a more spirited drive. This GT350 has the $3,000
additional Shelby high performance cooling package as well!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk opens by remote, inside is a nice,
carpeted Shelby GT350 logo embroidered mat, A folder filled with
original certificates, build sticker, Shelby window sticker, and
service record from the original owner.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath is in showroom condition. This GT350 was
fitted with Shelby/ford racing suspension, limited slip
differential, front and rear brake cooling ducts, and watts link
rear suspension set up.
