Vehicle Description

1965 Shelby Daytona coupe is legendary. Only 6 were ever produced, but with this design Carrol Shelby became the first American manufacturer to win an international GT championship in 1965. This car is definitely worthy of a tribute, and this Coupe really performs. With only 25 miles on the odometer, she was built to run on the open road, power plant is all aluminium Corvette LS 1 350ci 5.7L engine, Muncie M20 transmission, 8.8 rear end, 4-wheel disc brakes, and a fully adjustable koni coilover suspension. It delivers all the sound and fury you would expect from a vintage racing car. This replica is based on a Factory Five Gen 3 platform. It was finished spring of 2023 after a three year build. The frame and its integral roll cage all show very nicely with a satin black finish. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in pure white with the correct 1965 France to Nurburgring racing stripes and numbers. The Daytona looks fast even when its standing still. The Kammback tail includes frenched in Lucas design beehive tail, turn, and backup lights, and frenched in license plate. Additional exterior features include a correct rear spoiler, Le Mans design fuel cap, dual foot box vents, dual bullet chrome side mirrors, and 17 inch torque thrust style wheels with Toyo Extensa HP2 tires (245/45ZR17 front, 315/35ZR17 rear). The car has a fantastic power to weight ratio thanks to the LS motor pushing 400hp. Note this modern engine weighs less and makes more power than the old vintage Shelby's! Some of the Coupes features include an MSD ignition control, Holley high rise with a Demon carburetor. It makes a wicked sound through the all stainless steel headers and side exhaust, while the aluminum radiator and Dual electric fans keep everything running cool. The transmission is a Rebuilt Muncie 4 speed with a centerforce hydraulic clutch. Out back is a 8.8 Ford rear end with 3.08 gears. The 4 wheel disc brakes have drilled and slotted rotors.
