Vehicle Description
This 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 coupe is a well-coordinated total
package with its big 400 V8 and terrific classic details. And nice
features like the muscle car level suspension give you the right
feeling for a proper car driver. It makes for a cool and distinct
way to own a hardtop legend.
The factory-correct Cameo Ivory paint is a great way to represent
the 1960s. It has a timeless creamy white style with a touch of
earthiness that would become more popular as we approached the
1970s. This was even resprayed later in life, and today it makes
for a finish that strikes the right balance of a vintage feeling
while continuing to have a good shine. And the black vinyl top
provides a timelessly appealing contrast for a premium appearance.
Form-hugging bumpers, full-length trim, and the look of flying
buttresses in the rear are all part of a carefully styled classic.
The correct 442 badging, vented hood, bright dual exhaust tips, and
Olds Super Stock wheels with raised white letter tires give a
terrific sporty style. And as you look at the full package, you can
see this is a classic made-to-be-driven. So it's quite clean and
complete, but it keeps away from getting too fancy to make you
nervous about taking it out every Sunday to explore new back
roads.
The black roof is a preview of the full black interior. The door
panels, carpeting, and other fundamentals look good. The seats even
look more recently reupholstered. But this classic was made to be
enjoyed, so you'll never hesitate to let family and friends hop in
and go for an ice cream run. You'll enjoy the vintage details
everywhere, from the Cutlass badging in the doors to the working
AM/FM radio. This is even a factory air-conditioning car. The
blower works well, but you likely want to update or upgrade the
system to return to its full function. And you'll like best how
this is a great driver's setup. You have a fold-down armrest for
true individual comfort, the three-spoke steering wheel, clear
factory gauges, and a classic Stewart Warner temp readout under the
dash.
Under the hood is exactly what you want to see. The 400 cubic-inch
V8 is an era-correct powerhouse that looks exceptionally stock with
bronze painted motor and 442 air cleaner. While the VIN cannot do
442 verification for this year, this shows all the right signs of
being a true 442, right down to C heads. And features like the
four-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust make this breather like a
proper muscle car powerhouse. We like the hardy nature of these
Oldsmobile motors, and this one will likely need some shadetree
tuning to get it to be your ideal machine. And many of us plan on
that anyway because we want to unlock even more power from the V8.
And one of the reasons a good Olds makes for a great power car is
because of the extra features. This one has boxed rear arms, a rear
sway bar, and a limited-slip rear end. Add in the TH400 three-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes, and this
hardtop wants to be a nice all-around cruiser.
This Oldsmobile loves to be vintage, premium, and a proper muscle
car. So you know you need to take it home with you. Call now!
