Engine & Drivetrain
When you open the hood you will see the iconic small block 283
cubic inch Chevrolet engine with the block, heads, and valve covers
painted Chevrolet Orange with the factory Chevrolet black painted
air cleaner, exhaust manifolds leading back to the exhaust, and air
conditioning.
The engine pushes back the horsepower to the automatic transmission
puts the power to the ground via the Chevrolet painted wheels with
chrome 55 hubcaps wearing wide whitewall tires making the ride
great and safe.
The engine is also installed in the very nice clean, painted, and
detailed engine compartment.
Interior
The interior shows a similar level of restoration and is a factory
correct redo that shows its authenticity in the restoration. The
factory-correct two-tone turquoise offsetting the yellow/white
exterior color to give this a nice flow inside and out.
It has a bench front seat and matching rear seat as well as the
door panels and the headliner, the smooth twin cowl dash looks
great as does all the factory gauges and controls with the air
conditioning down below the dash.
It has the automatic shifter on the column, side vent windows,
artful factory Chevrolet steering wheel, pushbutton radio, as well
as green carpets and black floor mats.
Exterior
Our 55 wears a factory Yellow and India Ivory two-tone paint job
that you will marvel at and it remains its authentic appearance
enhanced by the best in modern paint.
The chrome and brightwork is nice as is the chrome front and rear
bumpers with the fine non-pitted hood bird ornament. The trunk is
restored too with a black trunk mat and spare tire and wheel.
