This Mercedez 190-D (D is for Diesel!) was maintained by a classic car fanatic. The interior is well kept, but has no dash radio. The head liner is brand new. The exterior has been repainted. Some of the trim needs to be put back on the car. The glass is all complete and unbroken. The car has been sitting in a garage under a cloth for several years, and the condition of the battery and fuel system has not been verified. car is currently in Logan, UT. There is fuel in the gas tank, just not very much. The tires/wheels are free/not frozen. I've not attempted to start the engine as it has been idle for perhaps 10 years. This is a diesel powered car! There is oil in the oil bath and in the oil pan, it is black and has no moisture. I've not gotten a sample of the fuel or engine oil, just looked at the dipstick. Looking under the car it looks like undercoat was applied and there is only one place where rust is visible and only in a 1 inch square area near the base of the driver side front door post. The choke cable seems to have been cut and the connection hardware is missing. The seats are in good condition under covers, there is at least one tear in the driver's seat. All the chrome stripping is with the car, the plastic lugs used to attach the chrome are there as well, but aged and seemingly brittle. you'll see in the photos a new, unwrapped bumper set as well. also included with the car are owner's manual, Chilton's guide (1970), documentation regarding the vehicle, etc. included are also several parts catalogs from suppliers dated in the 80s.
