The Defender 110 underwent a total cosmetic, and mechanical restoration to bring this Defender 110 to its current state of perfection. This Defender 110 started its life out in the Middle East, and lived a very gentle and mildly used life, racking up only 62,000 miles since it was brand new. The Defender was used as a school bus for a small village in the Middle East, and then imported into the United States by us.
The Defender 110 was taken completely apart, down to the bare frame, and reassembled using new body components, the Defender underwent a frame-off nut and bolt restoration. The frame was sandblasted, and painted, and new body panels were ordered at this time, along with an upgraded Puma hood as well. The Defender 110 was repainted in one of our personal favorite Land Rover colors, Arles Blue. We then ordered new suspension components, and replaced the entire suspension assembly with new suspension components. The entire braking assembly was replaced with new parts as well. The steering components were replaced at this time as well.
The Defender is powered by a new 300 TDI which has been completely overhauled, with new injectors, timing belt, water pump, oil pan, radiator, valves, pistons, seals, head gasket, thermostat, rocker arms, turbo charger, intercooler, and injection pump as well. The entire engine has been completely gone through, in order to ensure a high quality of reliability, and perfection. The transmission has been upgraded to an R380 transmission which has been completely rebuilt and overhauled as well. The 5 speed manual transmission upgrade makes this Defender 110 much more pleasurable to drive everyday, and is a much more daily drive friendly transmission.
The Defender's cabin has been applied with sound deadening material to ensure a more quiet cabin interior for daily driving and comfort as well. The entire interior has been reupholstered with high quality dark leather, with fabric accents. The interior has a very modern, yet classic and true to roots feel to it. We fitted the interior with many modern creature comforts as well, such as Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Locks, Back Up Camera, Bluetooth Audio, and LED lighting and headlights.
