Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this
one-of-a-kind 1966 Ford Mustang coupe. This was an in-house build
by the very well renowned Rad Rides by Troy as a 10-year build. The
Mustang saw a complete transformation as it was completely stripped
to bare metal, and resto-modded from the ground up into this
beautiful beast that you see today. The custom Gunmetal Blue
Metallic paint was hand-picked by the builder, then tweaked to make
it just right for the overall feel of this custom classic. All of
the brightwork has been turned into "darkwork" by way of painting
or powder coating it all to black. The dark theme is carried over
into the interior with a set of "Pony" TMI seats, and more blacked
out trim. Under the hood, a worked-over 302 cubic inch small block
Ford V8 is paired to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission,
making for plenty of power, and the ability to cruise anywhere with
ease. Adding to the reliability is a fuel injection set up, meaning
no worries on a cold day to get this Pony ready to ride.Though only
"finished" for less than a year, this Mustang has already started a
collection of "Best in Show" wins, and could possibly take home
more in the future. The level of detail found in this build is
easily some of the highest standard in the custom car scene today.
