Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 24th year in the
classic and muscle car business. The Chevrolet Impala has been
produced in many shapes, sizes, and varieties over the course of 7
decades and 10 generations. These attractive, full-size cruisers
were sold by the millions, thereby creating countless fond memories
and a secure place in the heart of American car culture. However,
as George Orwell might have said, some Impalas are more equal than
others. This wicked 1963 Impala SS Convertible possesses THE
nastiest W-series engine that I've ever seen. What began its life
as a 409 V8 block (BCN 3857656) was jet washed, bored, align honed,
and sleeved with high nickel sleeves which, along with a 4 stroker
crank, provides 474 ci of thunder. Underhood goodies include a
Holley Sniper EFI system, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads
and intake manifold, internally balanced rotating assembly with
forged Eagle crank and rods with Ross Racing pistons, monstrous
COMP Cams mechanical roller cam with .763 (!) gross intake lift, a
Griffin aluminum radiator with twin SPAL fans and shroud, MSD
ignition, a Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine belt system, and
an Edelbrock aluminum water pump. The assembly of this exotica
resulted in 571 hp and 596 lb.-ft. of torque from a much lighter
engine! Additional features include power steering, power brakes,
power convertible top, air conditioning, automatic transmission,
cool SS bucket seat interior with console, and correct steel 14
wheels with correct SS covers. The owner of this car had a health
issue before completion, so it has been consigned as is. This
strong foundation will allow the new owner to personalize this
monster as it is taken to that next level. If a classic convertible
cruiser stuffed with an exotic W-series big block is your kind of
wild, call the team that can make your dream a reality. Fortitude
required to drive 571 hp with drum brakes not included! Street
Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist
with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
