Vehicle Description

We don't need to sell you on the virtues of the second-generation C/K. You already know these trucks are attractive, timeless and universally cool. In fact, one could argue that, since they represent a choice era of one of America's most popular vehicles, they're one of the best classics of all time. That said, falling for a handsome C Series is easy. The difficult part is finding a unique, well-built truck that'll keep you happy for years to come. Luckily, your friends at RK Motors have a real knack for finding standout builds. And, as a perfect blend of custom virtues and the kind of showstopping aesthetics that'll always be attractive to enthusiasts, this exceptional C10 is about as standout as it gets. Looking for a fun ride that's sure to turn heads? Take a close look at this SEMA-featured bowtie!

SEMA SUPA STAR

Professionally assembled by Ryno Built of Joplin, Missouri, this SEMA-featured Chevy represents a pinnacle of retro performance and, quite frankly, is probably one of the coolest pickups ever built. A long way from the 1971 long wheelbase it began life as, Brown Shuga has hardly any surfaces that weren't carefully massaged for maximum display. After hours of precise metalwork, a solid fleetside profile was sealed in a custom mix of PPG Root Beer Brown two-stage. And it all adds up to one sleek, eye-catching resto-mod that looked right at home on the pages of the February 2021 edition of Classic Truck Performance Magazine!

A one-year build that features heavy customization, this choice classic gives new meaning to the term show stopper. The finishing begins with a polished bumper, which hangs LED parking lamps beneath a bright grille that's dotted with a custom bowtie and modern United Pacific headlights. Above those LED torches, a domed hood leads polished wipers, which clear a traditional, vent window greenhouse. That glass gets reflected in tidy billet mirrors, which flow well with factory-style rocker trim and factory-look United Pacific marker lamps. Factory door handles work quality Trique Manufacturing latches. A hand-fabricated bed tilts custom sides between filled stake pockets and a stainless-trimmed floor. And out back, United Pacific LED taillights illuminate a custom roll pan and a smoothed tailgate.

AN EXCELLENT BLUEPRINT

Glitz is great but is brawn better! Enact this C10's Suspa hood struts and you'll find 355 cubic inches of small block might that was sourced directly from the pros at BluePrint Engines. At the top of that cast iron beast, stylish O'Brien Truckers air cleaners funnel breeze into FiTech tri-power fuel injection. That system rides a lightweight aluminum intake, which feeds lightweight aluminum heads that tilt finned and painted valve covers under finned and painted breathers. Fire comes courtesy of a hot MSD Pro-Billet distributor, which sequences spark through loomed PerTronix plug wires. A KWiK Performance serpentine drive spins a muted water pump between a proven Powermaster alternator and a muted AC compressor. Cooling is provided by a beefy DeWitts radiator, which makes excellent use of dual SPAL puller fans. Exhaust rumbles through coated Patriot headers. And the truck's smoothed and painted engine bay includes choice detailing like Lokar sticks, a New Port wiper motor, Rebel Wire wiring and requisite Slosh Tubz inner fenders.

MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE

Because modern power begets modern motivation, this Chevy's body-matched mill feeds a trusty 4L60E 4-speed that, sourced directly from Joplin, Missouri's Gayle's Transmission, is paired with a proven FiTech controller. Out back, a narrowed 9-inch spins a Truetrac differential and big, 3.89 gears between 31-spline axles. That Metallic Black pumpkin pushes a custom, fully boxed frame that's been professionally powder-coated and braced with Classic Performance Products crossmembers. Those bones roll on a custom trailing arm rear-clip that makes excellent use of a Panhard Bar and CPP link arms. A custom front-clip stacks tubular control arms on a Porterbuilt Dropmember. Naturally, the truck's channeled body is equipped with Air Lift Performance bags, which flex thanks to VIAIR compressors. Reactions are quick thanks to power rack-and-pinion steering. Power-assisted CPP calipers clamp six pistons on drilled and slotted rotors, front and back. A great soundtrack is provided by custom JBA Performance exhaust. Choice detailing includes a Powermaster starter and twin Optima gel cell batteries. And at the corners, color-keyed U.S. Mags Bonnevilles spin 255/30ZR22 Toyo Proxes in front of 335/25R22 Toyo Proxes.

THE GLORIOUS SOUND OF CUSTOM

Pop the doors and you'll find a tasteful custom interior that features a cool combination of glossy paint and supple leather. Stitched TMI buckets align nicely with a stylish console that hides controls for the truck's air suspension. Custom side panels hang crisp MB Quart Z-Line speakers between plush carpet and factory handles. Those speakers sound great supported by a four 10-inch Magico TITAN subwoofers, three roof-mounted Hifonics amplifiers and a JVC touchscreen head unit. A leather-lined dash hangs updated telemetry next to cool Vintage Air conditioning, which works well with Lizard Skin insulation. And the driver spins a polished and half-wrapped steering wheel around a polished shifter, muted Lokar pedals and a tilting column.

Perpetually cool and mechanically fulfilling, this impressive Chevy is an appealing take on the traditional truck concept. Combining world class customization with world class power, it's simply spectacular from every angle. Don't miss your chance to own one of the best C10s on the planet!
