this BODY-OFF RESTORED 1968 Corvette L79 Convertible comes in the
desirable Red/Black color combination, is documented with its
ORIGINAL PROTECT-0-PLATE, and is in nice condition as well,
featuring desirable power steering. This car's paints looks to be
newer, and is vg, with a great shine. Hardtop features good-vg
paint, and chrome bumpers show a vg-exc finish. Exterior door
handles show a vg finish, luggage rack is vg-exc, and
weatherstripping is in good condition. Rally wheels and associated
trim rings and center caps are vg-exc, and Firestone Wide Oval
Super Sport redline bias-ply tires show an average of 8/32nds tread
depth remaining. The interior of this 1968 Corvette L79 Convertible
shows vg seats and gauges, vg-exc dash pad, rear storage bins, and
carpet, and BRAND NEW GM style seatbelts (not pictured). A digital
AM/FM radio has been added. The numbers matching L79 engine in this
car shows original casting date November 17, 1967, and final
assembly date November 29, 1967. Correct air cleaner, valve covers,
ignition shielding, radiator hoses, and hose clamps are all in
place, and the engine compartment has been nicely detailed. Frame
has been refinished in Gloss Black. Include with this car will be a
binder with a bunch of post-restoration photos dated 2017, as well
as the aforementioned protect-o-plate, owner's manual/sleeve,
original brochure, and a tank sticker and window sticker. This car
has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn
signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good
