1973 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible Pace Car
VIN: 6L6S3Q436627
In 1973, the Cadillac Eldorado Convertible was honored to be chosen
as the Official Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500. While 53 cars
were built, modified and delivered to the track and used in the
Festival events, 513 cars did not receive engine modifications and
are considered replica cars. These cars were given a special plaque
mounted on the the instrument panel to the left of the clock
identifying the cars as replicas. The replicas were delivered to
Cadillac dealers across the county where they enjoyed great
popularity among buyers .
Presented at auction is a fine, low mile example of a 1973 Cadillac
Eldorado Convertible Pace Car. The rich red leather interior shows
well as does the long and lean body. The car is reported to run
strong and is coming off long-term single ownership.
