The engine compart holds a more potent engine than the 318 cubic
inch one that came in it originally. Now it is a 340 High
Performance 340 High Performance Small Block Dodge Engine with the
block, heads, valve covers, and intake painted blue, 4-barrel carb,
factory stock black painted air cleaner with the 340 decal, Block
and Engine compartment appears as new, factory cast iron exhaust
manifolds and dual exhaust, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, and
factory air conditioning.
It is backed up by a 3-speed automatic transmission and shifted
with a T-handled Shifter with the power going to a H.D. factory
rear end. It also has factory Air Conditioning, power front disc
brakes with rear drum brakes, and the true dual exhaust with the
tips.
Interior
The restored interior has the correct black bucket seat interior,
the original dash and gauge cluster with Original Rally Cluster
tick tock tach, factory pushbutton AM Radio with the very rare
working Cassette Player, air conditioning, wood steering wheel, and
new black carpeting and Challenger mats.
It has matching door panels with woodgrain trim, the factory
console with woodgrain trim also and the 3-speed automatic
transmission shifted with a T-handled Shifter.
Exterior
When the Challenger was restored the exterior was completed with
repaint in the factory color it came in, Plum Crazy Purple, flowing
over the twin scoop hood, and accented by the black vinyl power
convertible top, rear wing front spoiler, side black dual racing
stripes, and rolling on the factory Chrysler Rally Wheels with
Cooper Cobra Raised White Letter Radial GT tires.
