1937 Cord 812 Beverly Sedan, 289 cubic inch Lycoming L-Head V-8.
Single Downdraft Carburetor. 125 HP. 4-Wheel Hydraulic Drum Brakes.
Independent Trailing-Arm Front Suspension with Leaf Springs. Live
Rear Axle, Semi-Elliptical Leaf Springs. Made by an American
company Auburn Automobile/ Connersville Indiana, the Cord was an
all-out luxury automobile. Made from 1929 to 1932 and again in 1936
and 1937. Cord is known for its innovative beautiful, elegant,
streamlined bodies and innovations in in technology. One of the
early uses of Hidden headlights, its drive system borrowed from the
Indianapolis 500-dominating racers of the time, semi-automatic
transmission, (called a pre-selector because you selected the gear
and then stepped on a clutch). Cigarette Creme paint in very good
condition. Straight body lines and gaps. Long sloping front fenders
and match long, wide rear 1/4 fender wheel well fenders. Designed
by Gordon M. Buehrig, the car sports a sleek, low-slung look, with
no running boards a rare design element of this era vehicle. Split
front Window, 1/2 Moon Elegant Split Back Windows in the Rear.
Sweeping horizontal lines chrome grill which repeated behind the
front fenders in the split hood. The interior was all about luxury.
Deep Plush vertical rib stitched seat Upholstery. Dead centered,
Large circular and v shaped gauges set in a beautiful shinning
Diamond plate cluster. Inverted Y horn button Carried on into 3
spoke steering wheel with a full circular chrome thin tubular ring
added design elegance. Factory correct extra-large hub caps
centered in extra wide white walled poly ply non radial tires.

pieces we were required to disconnect or remove batteries and drain
fuel tanks. Once again, these vehicles have not been driven, or
even started in quite some time. While we do our best to provide
