For Sale: 1990 Ford Country Squire in Kentwood, Michigan
A total of Eight generations of Country Squire wagons were built on
and off from 1950 through 1991. The ultimate demise of these now
iconic niche wagons was the introduction of the mini van and
ultimately the influx of not only the mini van but the Sport
Utility Vehicle, something that the wagon used to fulfill the needs
of. The last generation of the Country Squire was built from 1979
and 1991, and although they look gigantic today, the previous
generation was 1,000 lbs heavier and almost a whole foot shorter!
This particular awesome example has traveled just over 14,000 miles
since new and is a one-owner vehicle. It is finished in a very
desirable blue over blue and furthermore because of the decline in
sales year after year until the end, there were not many of these
cars built making the later ones harder and harder to find. in 1990
only just over 6,000 units were produced. This cars interior and
paint are great, the car starts, runs and drives awesome and
everything is in good working order. There is a cosmetic boo boo
from something falling on the driver's side fender in the garage
but that is it. The underside is great and the car is ready to be
enjoyed!.
