Vehicle Description
1960 Fury was the ultimate expression of 'The Forward Look'
styling, designed by Richard Exner. On every outing I get 'I love
your car!' Routinely, people ask if they can photograph themselves
standing next to her. She's 'Resto-Mod' not stock: I swapped in a
rebuilt 1964 413 cu. in. Chrysler engine and a1979 Mopar
transmission, so she's now screaming fast. But included in the sale
is the original 361 cu. in. motor and original push-button
transmission, so purists can take her back to pristine 1960. Only
30,000 miles. I bought her from Ellingson Motors, a Minnesota
dealer, in December 2020. Before then, she had two owners, one in
Georgia and one in Florida, so she was never exposed to winter
conditions. Virtually rust-free: a tiny bit down where the painted
body metal curves under. A total of about 6 square inches if you
added up all the tiny patches. I can take photos if you are
concerned. She's now mechanically super, or will be when I get the
steering gearbox rebuilt. Much new or rebuilt equipment, including
leaf springs, front and rear shocks, gas tank, fuel line, complete
exhaust system and mufflers, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, spark
plugs and wires, 5-core radiator, fan, fabricated fan shroud,
starter motor, alternator, electronic ignition, master brake
cylinder. And I replaced the puny 14' wheels with 17' ones, with
black spokes. That gives a dramatically more stable ride and
cornering ability. Own a stunning piece of automotive history.
