Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 24th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Nomad was a name used by Chevrolet
from the 1950's to the 1970's, almost exclusively on wagons, but as
any bowtie lover can tell you, the real Nomads were produced only
from 1955 to1957. Yes, these Tri-Five Nomads are widely recognized
as the most stylish American wagons ever produced and are about as
cool as the other side of the pillow. This stunning Gypsy Red and
Shoreline Beige 1955 Nomad is one of only 8,386 examples produced
and it clearly highlights the beautiful design features of these
iconic cars. Raise the sculpted hood and you'll see an aluminum
5.7L LS1 V8 that's been fortified with headers, CAI, and a large
aluminum radiator with twin electric fans and shroud. Additional
features include power steering, Wilwood power 4-wheel disc brakes
with hydroboost and dilled and slotted rotors, air conditioning,
beautiful custom interior, tilt steering column, 4-speed automatic
transmission with overdrive, Ford 9 rear end, tubular steel A-arms
with coilovers, killer stainless steel dual exhaust with X-pipe and
electric cutouts, and fresh, low-profile tires (245/40ZR20 F,
275/35ZR20 R) wrapped around striking Coys alloy wheels. This
outstanding classic is gorgeous from top to bottom, front to back,
inside and out. I particularly enjoy the contrast of the blue
frame, black crossmembers, and red floor pans as well as the
excellence of the brightwork. Although ready for a show, this
beauty is an absolute pleasure to drive, with levels of comfort,
safety, and performance that were unimaginable in 1955. One more
top-shelf, no excuses jewel from the team that can make your dream
a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service
dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and
financing options.
