Truly Spectacular 1946 Studebaker M5 1/2 Ton Pickup
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1946
Studebaker M5 1/2 Ton 2 Door Pickup with Ruby Glow Red exterior
paint and a beautiful saddle vinyl interior. You'll find a brand
new 169 cid straight-six engine under the hood paired with a
three-speed manual (on the floor) transmission and this spectacular
show-truck has been fully restored to like-new condition throughout
in the original specifications with correct or OEM accessories. It
is simply gorgeous in person and has to be seen up close to fully
appreciate it.
Underwent a Complete Ground-Up Restoration in 2012
The current owner informs us that this 1946 Studebaker M5 Pickup
was fully restored in a frame-off restoration back in 2012, which
included all new paint, chrome, interior, and the correct "pallet
engine" for this example. All the mechanicals were fully sorted as
well so it would be hard to find a single component that hasn't
been replaced or fully restored. It still appears excellent in
person as well with gorgeous body lines and shimmering paint- the
only imperfections are tiny scratches or blemish that does not take
away from the overall appearance. The interior is also in like-new
condition throughout.
Additionally, this 1946 Studebaker M5 Pickup drives much like a new
example with expected acceleration and handling for this model
year. The engine compartment is highly correct and exceptional in
person; this classic vehicle could be shown on any stage today and
receive serious consideration. There may not be a more original,
properly restored example in the country at this time and this one
will find a new home quickly since it appeals to a variety of
collectors.
