This classic 1978 MGB will put a smile on your face. In many ways,
this model remained true to the iconic 1962 model that replaced the
MGA - lightweight, responsive and sporty. However, over the years
it became quite refined. This MGB roadster has received a nice
partial restoration. The exterior was refinished in Leyland White
and 14" SCP 'Minator' alloy wheels mount General Altimax
performance radials. The convertible frame and tonneau boot are in
good condition, but the vinyl top has some blemishes. The MG is
also fitted with a chrome luggage rack that is in good condition.
The original interior is in good nick with nice vinyl upholstery,
dash, carpeting and door cards. A Panasonic multi-speaker AM/FM/CD
sound system provides your music. The 1.8L OHV B-series engine has
8.1:1 factory compression and is fitted with the popular Weber
2-barrel downdraught carburetor conversion and electric fuel pump.
It is said to have never required a rebuild, but has recently
received a major service including new ignition components, carb
rebuild and valve cover/side panel gasket replacements. Factory
output was estimated at 85bhp-105lb/ft, more than enough power to
move this roadster smoothly down the road. It is backed by a
4-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly through all four
synchronized gears. The chassis is equipped with rack and pinion
steering and power-assisted disc/drum brakes (10.75"/10" discs)
w/dual master cylinder. This sharp MGB is looking for a new driver
- why not you? ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
