Vehicle Description
A 1992 Ford F-250 XLT with a big block V8 under the hood is the
ideal mix of vintage looks and an exceptionally capable package. In
fact, you have the log bed, dual fuel tanks, and plenty of other
features that make this HD classic more useful than some brand-new
pickups that cost a ton more.
XLT just means getting more of everything you love about a truck.
The long bed gives you more capacity, and the overall tough truck
look gives you more stature. It makes for an attractive look on a
pickup that was made to be useful. In fact, that's why we like the
paintwork. The classic Oxford White has a Medium Cabernet streak in
the middle for an attractive two-tone. The paint is believed to be
original and even the mileage is believed to be actual. So the
finish is eye-catching without looking too perfect or too fancy.
That way you have a good-looking truck that also is never accused
of being just a trailer queen (it tows them instead!) The 8-lug
wheels, full-length running boards, a windshield overhang, towing
mirrors, and a rear hitch are all part of an industrial-strength
cool. And of course, you noticed the bed. It has the terrific
features you want like liner paint, a thick bed mat, full diamond
plate rails, and a diamond plate toolbox. There are even camper
tabs on the side and a sway bar underneath if you were thinking
about a nice truck for a slide-in camper.
Inside is a bold red style done for long-haul style comfort. The
front has a wide bench that's good for spreading out. The steering
wheel is on a tilt column to give you a good view of the gauges and
the road ahead. This is an extended cab, and that means a back seat
to hold more people or secure cargo. This XLT is loaded with the
best features, including power windows, power locks, and the
factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. The side vent windows and sliding
rear glass let in some nice old-school pickup breezes, but any time
that's not enough, you also have cold-blowing air conditioning.
Under the hood is one of the most desirable options around: Ford's
7.5-liter V8. This was part of the twilight years for the famous
big block, and so you are at the intersection of cool history and
modern fuel-injected versatility. And the way this has a powerful
and road-ready feeling lets you know it has been maintained
correctly. Part of the long-haul comfort also means going farther
with the ease of cruise control and dual fuel tanks. And you also
have a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly
overdrive. Add in power steering, power brakes, and front discs,
and this is a very useful F-250.
The sale comes complete with an owner's manual and a Marti Report.
