PHS DOCUMENTED, TRI-POWER, 4 SPEED TRANS. CALIFORNIA CAR!!!! This
1965 GTO presents itself beautifully with its factory color, Cameo
Ivory code C. It has a very glossy clear coat finish on a clean
rust free West Coast body. It is straight down both sides, all gaps
and seams are nice. The original bumpers have been rechromed and
are show quality. The stainless trim, grills, mirror, door handles,
tail panel and tail light bezels have been polished or replaced
with new. It rides on a set of 14X7 Pontiac Rally 1 wheels with a
set of Firestone radial redline tires. The blue upholstery looks
great up against the white exterior. The seat upholstery, door
panels, armrests, pads, sill plates, headliner, visors and carpet
have all been replaced. It has a factory blue steering wheel.
Looking at the dash: the wood grain on the dash is in good shape,
the lenses and gauges are in great shape, dash pad is in good shape
with no cracks, factory AM radio and factory blue Pontiac floor
mats. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its
period-correct, completely rebuilt 389 cid engine with a tri-power
set up. The wiring harness has been replaced along with all the
brake lines, power brakes, 4-core Harrison radiator. It has correct
chrome air cleaners, factory correct chrome valve covers, It
features power steering and hood insulation. The engine compartment
is nicely finished in satin black. The undercarriage is nicely
detailed. The floors appear to be all clean and original metal.
They are finished with a nice coat of satin black paint. Looking up
at the bottom of the motor it is clean as well as the Muncie M20
4-speed transmission. All the front end components and all the
bushings appear to have been replaced. It has a 3:23 gear ratio
posi rear end. The E-brake cable assembly is complete and working.
The gas tank and sending unit have been replaced. The trunk
compartment is very nice with a factory Rally 1 with a red line
radial for a spare tire and jack assembly along with a trunk mat.
It has a light coat of Black Aqua trunk splatter paint for a nice
clean factory look, new weather stripping and the jacking
instructions decal. This is a very nice 1965 Pontiac GTO! It really
looks, sounds and performs well!
