For Sale: 1967 Porsche 911S in Amelia Island, Florida

Vehicle Description

1967 911S Coupe

This spectacular Aga Blue 911S is being offered for the first time on the open market. It was found many years ago in New York state by a prominent Porsche collector. He passed the car to a dealer friend who had a customer looking for a 911S in an interesting color. The car remained in that family for the next two decades.

Almost every important Porsche collection has a 67' 911S either in coupe or SWT form. This was true of the collection this car came from as well. The gentleman acquired the car in the early 2000's where it sat beside rare racing Porsches, Ferraris and other special automobiles. He enjoyed the car at both his homes in S. Florida and New Hampshire before his passing in 2010. One year after his passing, all the cars in the collection were sold at auction in Pebble Beach, with one exception. His daughter didn't want to see the 911S go and made the decision to buy the car from the estate. She used it privately for more than a decade on short trips to breakfast and on special occasions.

Last year, the opportunity to purchase the car was extended, at which point I jumped at the chance to buy it. After more than a decade of little use, the previously restored car needed some TLC. New Vredestein tires were fit, brake calipers rebuilt by PMB, carbs rebuilt and fluids changed. I had Tony Garcia at Autobahn send a new front trunk carpet kit and have also replaced the battery. I've not used the car as much as I'd hoped and am selling this and my Slant nose Cab to fund a Ferrari purchase.

Despite the rarity of this 67' 911S, a comparable sale occurred at the Gooding and Co Pebble Beach auction last summer. S/N 308365S which was likely the car in front of this 911S on the assembly line, sold for $335K. The car was also Aga blue with black interior and was in unrestored condition.

This car has matching numbers as per the COA and cardex sent to Phil Bagley while in his care. Photos of the stampings are in the attached photos. It includes the file folder with both documents, spare wheel, jack, and manuals. Overall, the car is in good condition. The paint shines well, the interior, engine compartment and front trunk are all very tidy. This car could be shown as is, brought up to the trailer queen concourse level, or simply enjoyed.

I'm pricing the car lower than I have been advised in hope that it finds another collection. There are few 67' 911S cars available and none in this condition near this price point. I'm happy to answer any questions, provide additional photos, or show the car in person at my home in Amelia Island, FL. Please view the images of this wonderful 67S.
