1 owner, 24,966 miles, and 1 of 809 built with a quartz clock in
the center console! What is cooler than that? How about the fact
that this Camaro is built to back up the IROC name way better than
when it left the factory.
This car left the factory with the 190 horsepower 5.0-liter V8. Now
it has a built 400 V8 that has been bored to a 408 with an
Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, Demon 850 carburetor, MSD 6AL ignition
box, MSD coil, MSD billet distributor, double roller timing chain,
a Comp Cams hydraulic cam with .495 lift, a 10.8:1 compression, big
headers running to Flowmaster exhaust and an exhaust cut out if you
really want to wake the neighbors! Sportman heads with a 64cc
displacement, Stage 2 port by Allison Racing, Manley valves at 2.02
and 1.60, screw in 7/16 studs, and blue roller rockers. An electric
fan has been added along with transmission coolers to keep the
engine and the built 700R4 automatic transmission cool. The
transmission was built by Coan Transmission and features a 3,500
stall converter and a Hurst Dual Gate shifter which fits nicely in
the factory center console. Power is then sent back to a built Ford
9" with traction bars and a 4.56 Detroit Locker, and Moser 31
spline axles. Subframe connectors stiffen everything up to keep
this Camaro going straight down the road.
The original interior is in incredible condition with light gray
bucket seats, the quartz clock that less than percent of all
Camaros in 1985 received, and some aftermarket gauges to keep an
eye on that powerhouse. Pop off those t-tops and put them in the
factory bag in the trunk. Then you can use the factory sunshade to
cover them up! That's right, all of these factory pieces are still
in place!
The original owner states that the 24,966 miles are actual, but it
was exempted on the title when he moved. The CarFax is clean as
well! The car was all original on the exterior and the factory
enamel paint was starting to etch so the seller recently had it
repainted back to the factory color of Bright Blue with all new
IROC-Z emblems and striping. This car now has the guts to back up
to that name and is a sleeper with the bone stock exterior!
