For Sale: 1979 Ford Ranchero in Lavergne, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

This 1979 Ford Ranchero GT represents the final year of the legend. And with its true cruiser style and proper V8 power, this one really makes its history proud. The affordable price is just the cherry on top.

Not only is this the final generation for the Ranchero, but it's arguably the best one, too. Ford's LTD had an impressive amount of style, and it looks terrific on this pickup/coupe. Its Lincoln-inspired marker lights, flared fenders, form-hugging shining bumpers, and mag wheels make this look both premium and sporty. And we really like the color combo. The trim tag tells us this was born in Dark Jade, and it has a deep color and good shine today. Plus, when you add the tan GT strobe stripe package, it reminds us of the kind of color combo that came on later Eddie Bauer edition Ford trucks and SUVs. So this classic looks ahead of its time.

The interior has a terrific sense of style. The exterior color theme continues with green on the door panels, carpeting, and seat. The seatbacks even have a tan stripe. The bench seat has high-back sides, a fold-down armrest, and comfy cloth inserts to make the GT a very individual experience. There is a nice classic style everywhere from the working dome light to the AM/FM stereo. The factory A/C has even been upgraded to R134a, but it will need servicing to blow ideally cold again. And as a true GT, they give you the full gauge package surrounded by a sporty machine-turned aluminum panel.

Under the hood is Ford's hardy 351 cubic-inch V8. It has a maintained look with some newer pieces, like the carburetor, belts, and hoses. It fires up eagerly, and this has the right power and torque to be a fine cruiser. That attitude is backed up further by great driving features, like power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a three-speed automatic transmission.

The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and original warranty card. This is the final-year Ranchero that has a distinct style and a cool cruiser attitude. So at a price like this you know you need to hurry up and call today!!!
