Description:
This 2000 Ford F-150 XL nicknamed "Lord Frightening", was modified
by Hoonigan Industries and built as a tribute to the Ford F-150
Lightning shop truck driven by Paul Walker in the first Fast and
Furious film. The truck has been fitted with a turbocharged
3.0-liter 2JZ inline-six paired with a Tremec T56 six-speed manual
transmission and further reworked with a Garrett G-Series G30-770
turbocharger, Haltech Elite 2000 ECU and ignition coils, a GReddy
intake manifold, a Currie rear axle, and Baer Extreme 6S calipers
as well as a Hoonigan Chase Bays handbrake, Sparco Racing R333
seats, blue 19? Volk TE37 wheels, and Belltech shocks and springs.
A Stack Gauges digital instrument cluster has been added to the
cabin along with a Sparco steering wheel, Thermo-Tec sound
deadening, and an MTX sound system. The throwout bearing was
replaced in preparation for sale, and the oil was changed.
Interior:
The cabin features Sparco Racing R333 bucket seats upholstered in
black cloth, and Thermo-Tec sound deadening has been added in
addition to an MTX sound system, a Hoonigan Chase Bays handbrake,
an extended gear shifter, and a Soundstream stereo. Interior
imperfections are displayed in the gallery. The Sparco steering
wheel features a yellow centering stripe and fronts a Stack Gauges
digital instrument cluster and an AutoMeter Phantom tachometer.
Additional gauges showing readouts for boost, air-fuel ratio, and
voltage are mounted to the A-pillar.
Exterior:
The guys at Hoonigan refinished this turk in red and features
Lightning-style bumper covers and side skirts. Equipment includes a
rear sliding window, Altezza-style taillights, "Frightening"
decals, and a flareside bed equipped with side steps and a drop-in
bed liner. Blue-painted 19? Volk Racing TE37 wheels are wrapped in
Toyo Proxes Sport and Nitto NT05R tires measuring 275/35 up front
and 305/35 out back. Stopping power is provided by red-painted Baer
Extreme 6S calipers over slotted and drilled rotors. The suspension
has been modified with Belltech shocks and springs.
Drivetrain:
The 3.0-liter 2JZ inline-six has been modified with a Garrett
G-Series G30-770 turbocharger, Haltech ignition coils, a GReddy
intake manifold, a K&N air filter, and a Haltech Elite 2000
ECU. Cooling is handled by a Mishimoto radiator secured by a custom
upper radiator support. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a
Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a Currie rear axle.
The clutch throwout bearing was replaced and an oil change was
performed in preparation for the sale.
