Simply Tremendous 1961 Pontiac Ventura Bubbletop
Now available for sale in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous
1961 Pontiac Ventura 2 Door Hardtop with spectacular black exterior
paint and a stunning NOS green vinyl interior with bucket seats and
console. You'll find a Butler-built 505 Cubic Inch, 515 Horse Power
V-8 engine under the hood that is paired to an 700R automatic
transmission and this desirable muscle car has been driven a mere
569 miles since the build was completed. You'll also find inboard
mounted power front disc brakes specially designed to fit the
premium 8 Lug Pontiac wheels and power steering.
The stock 389 CI V-8 has been swapped with a 505 CI monster built
from the parts bins at Butler Performance and Kauffman Racing.
Delivering 515 HP and 605 lb-ft of torque, the engine breathes
through Pontiac D port heads, long-branch cast iron headers, an
Edelbrock fuel-injection system and stainless, three-chambered,
Flowmaster Series 50 Deltaflow mufflers. Muscle is transferred
through a 700R automatic transmission to a 3.40 Positraction rear
end and on to the Pontiac-only eight-lug wheels with wide whitewall
tires. Disc brakes help to control the beast, slowing everything up
in a hurry. Inside, E-Z-Eye tinted glass helps to keep the
Jadestone and Seacrest Green "Jeweltone Morrokide" vinyl-trimmed
interior cool. The beautifully restored transparent acrylic
steering wheel is a work of art on its own. Other cockpit features
include a full-length center console, AM radio, passenger ashtray,
crank vent windows and a factory clock.
Tastefully Overhauled with Butler 505 CID V-8 Motor
Considered to be one of the most beautiful of Jack Humbert's
Pontiac designs-let alone of the 1960s to roll off an assembly
line-the Pontiac Ventura combines speed with the style of the
base-model Catalina, featuring a squared-off body with smallish
tail fins. Often referred to as the "bubble top," the curvaceous
A-pillar would become a hallmark in the Pontiac lineup of the
1960s, the slim C-pillar being a one-year look with only 13,297
produced.
When you first glance at this 1961 Pontiac Ventura, it's easy to
think that it's just another stock, white-walled B-body coupe, but
when you take a bit of a closer look, you'll quickly realize this
1961 Ventura is truly a wolf in sheep's clothing, a classy Resto
Mod and a POCI Gold Award Winner to boot. An estimated 2,222
man-hours were invested in this no-expense-spared build.
As you can see from the photographs, this 1961 Pontiac Ventura
Hardtop has exceptional body lines, mirror-like exterior paint and
beautiful chrome and trim all the way around with a highly detailed
undercarriage. The green vinyl interior is also in tremendous
overall condition with a highly original look and feel throughout.
It is plainly obvious that this muscle car was restored to an
incredibly high level and the next owner is going to fall in love
with this classic vehicle.
Additionally, this 1961 Pontiac Ventura Hardtop delivers excellent
power and torque to the wheels thanks to the freshly built 505 V-8
motor from Butler. The engine compartment is gorgeous with chrome
accessories throughout and numerous performance and cooling
upgrades. This muscle car has excellent acceleration, handling, and
stopping power so we expect that it will appeal to a wide variety
of collectors. It needs nothing to be driven and shown off
immediately.
A Fantastic Value at the Current Asking Price
Overall, this 1961 Pontiac Ventura 2 Door Hardtop is easily one of
the most pristine examples we've seen in recent years and the build
quality is truly second to none. It will not remain available for
long at the current asking price so come take it for a test drive
today. For more information about this vehicle, visit our
