Vehicle Description
The classic car world is full of fun creations with wild paint
schemes, extreme drivetrains and artful interiors. While those cars
are awesome to look at, 10-minute start-up procedures and blind
hunts for kill switches and accessory controls frustrate even the
most enthusiastic gearhead. Anyone who's spent time around the
collector car hobby will agree there's truly something special
about owning a well-built cruiser that's comfortable and easy to
live with. And this superb Ford roadster is just that - a
completely functional vehicle that's wrapped in killer hot rod
styling. With proven Chevy power, a smooth 3-speed and a fully
sorted aftermarket suspension, this classic was built to be
cruised. And if you're tired of superficial classics that emphasize
appearance over practicality, it's the real deal retro relic you've
been longing for!
GOOD AS GOLD
The product of a detailed, ground-up build that was perfected by
the pros at Louisville, Tennessee's Alloway's Hot Rod Shop, this
dreamy Deuce does an excellent job of wrapping timeless style
around time-tested technology. Reflections are pure class thanks to
a super slick coat of Chevrolet War Bonnet Yellow two-stage. And
currently, this sweet Ford rolls as a first class classic that's
poised to turn heads wherever it chooses to roam!
At the front of the car's glowing pigment, a custom frame spreader
leads a billet grille and stainless-trimmed Ford headlights that
feature both road lamps and turn indicators. That grille, framed by
a fiberglass shell, leads a sleek fiberglass body that's finished
with shaved doors and a steel, three-piece hood. That metal bonnet
stacks traditional louvers under a filled cowl, which leans a
tilting windshield between polished pillars and polished peep
mirrors. And at the back of the car, a shaved decklid shades a
polished fuel cap, a polished spreader bar and polished LED
taillights.
V8 FOREVER!
Carefully fold the hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of spry
Chevrolet Performance small block that's poised for years of miles
and decades of smiles! At the top of that dressed and detailed
mill, a trick Billet Specialties Streamline air cleaner wraps a
reusable filter element around a coated Quick Fuel Technology
4-barrel. That electronically choked carb feeds a polished Weiand
Street Warrior intake, which feeds hot Edelbrock Performer RPM
heads. Those heads, dressed in attractive Billet Specialties
Streamline valve covers, shade coated block hugger headers that are
split by quality Taylor plug wires. Those wires are connected to a
familiar MSD distributor, which plays well with a polished
Powermaster alternator. Billet pulleys cinch pliable V-belts around
an aluminum water pump, which fronts polished timing components.
Cooling comes courtesy of a predictable Walker radiator, which
fronts a quick puller fan and a billet thermostat housing. And
choice detailing abounds, from the car's polished motor mounts and
trick dipsticks to its polished oil pan and billet breathers.
BUILT TO CRUISE
Under this impressive custom, a predictable Turbo-Hydramatic 350
3-speed kicks a familiar Currie 9-inch. That axle, fitted with a
polished center section, rides a polished 4-bar suspension that's
dampered with Aldan American Phantom coil-overs. Opposite that
clip, polished wishbones and polished shocks frame a polished
spring and a polished Pete & Jakes Super Bell axle. That suspension
rolls under a boxed and braced chassis, which seats polished manual
steering between polished Wilwood calipers and traditional, Gloss
Black drums. A high-octane soundtrack is provided by slender Borla
mufflers, which bark through coated pipes and polished stainless
tips. And at the corners of the car, Gloss Black steelies spin
bright centers inside 165/80R15 Nankangs and 235/85R16 Firestone
Transforce HTs.
SIMPLE IS GOOD
Inside this awesome roadster, class is the name of the game as
tasteful Black leather creates a stylish complement to the car's
timeless paint. Pop the doors and you'll find a contoured bench
that's both firm and supportive. In front of that throne, a
minimalist dash centers custom Classic Instruments telemetry above
polished pedals and a short Lokar shifter. Stitched and sculpted
side panels hang tasteful handles over tight, fade-free carpet. The
driver spins a polished and leather-wrapped steering wheel around a
modern tilt column. And passengers stow essentials in a clean,
fully upholstered trunk
This fully sorted Ford is a wonderful classic to drive, enjoy and
turn a few heads in. It's really no surprise that these cars are
amazingly popular with almost everyone who sees them because they
mix distinctly American style with great ownership experiences. So,
what are you waiting for? Grab the phone, park this roadster in
your garage and get ready for years of carefree cruising!
