Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 is a real-deal Super Sport with
its attractive factory-correct color combo, four-on-the-floor, and
an era-correct big block V8 under the hood. And as you look over
the full package, you'll see that they also gave it the right
upgrades to make this a classic you were meant to really drive.
This has a well-coordinated sporty style. The factory-correct
Butternut Yellow is a clean and classic color that makes for a nice
backdrop for the black details. This includes the Sport Coupe black
lower section, tinted glass, blackout SS grille, backout rear
panel, and the side stripes that are exclusive to the 1969 Chevelle
Super Sport. It's all about muscle car fun more than being a
showpiece, and so the fit and finish is driver-quality and
driver-ready. And this one loves to turn the power car style up a
few notches. That's why you have a sporty red stripe separating the
lower black section and four tailpipes instead of the standard two.
The wheels are an especially nice upgrade where the Torq Thrust
units have a 17/18 front rear aggressive stance that all can fit
better modern tires.
The black interior goes with the overall color theme, and the clean
and comfortable feeling continues the driver-ready impression. That
also means it's easy to hop in and enjoy on a whim. You have the
right details for a good cruiser, like front bucket seats with a
center console in between, a newer three-spoke sports steering
wheel, power steering, Sunpro tach on the column, and Sunpro
readouts under the dash. Plus, the bright white cue ball topper of
the Hurst shifter just seems to be calling out to your right hand
from within the full dark interior.
Under the hood is what you're going to love most about this
Chevelle. The era-correct (but non-matching) 396 cubic-inch V8
looks great with the bold block, finned valve covers, and matching
air grabber. It inhales deeply with a Quick Fuel four-barrel
carburetor, and long tube headers let this exhale with power and
authority into the dual exhaust. And because this likes to be a
proper driver, there are nice extras, like a newer Champion
aluminum radiator with dual electric fans to help keep this running
cool. It fires up eagerly, idles smoothly, and loves to hit the
road. Best of all, you have complete control over the big block
power package thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. It
feeds into a stout 12-bolt rear end with 4.10 gears and
Positraction for quick and confident take-offs from the stoplights.
The power steering, power brakes, front discs, and modern sport
tires mean cruising is also easy in this coupe.
The sale comes with a partial buildsheet that confirms it as a true
Super Sport, and that makes for a fun muscle car that also has a
true pedigree. Call today!!!
