This 1964 Chevrolet C10 Stepside looks aggressive on the outside,
feels comfortable inside, and has enhanced V8 power at its heart.
It makes for the kind of full build that's perfect for someone who
likes a Saturday car show and a long Sunday drive.
This truck was given a detailed restoration later in life, and the
story that goes with it tells us exactly why there would be a big
investment here. We have the original dealer invoice that shows
this was sold new only about 25 miles from our showroom. This local
pickup was also a family affair as the grandson of the original
owner restored it as a tribute to his grandfather. However, what
was once granddad's hay hauler was transformed into something with
a bit more flair. Red is a bright color with an attitude. This is a
later respray, and the finish has the right mix of driver quality
while also giving off a radiant style in the sunshine. The upgraded
cowl hood, hot rod side mirrors, bow tie tailgate, polished wide
dual exhaust tips, and bright 15-inch wheels are all instant
indicators that this is a powerful pickup. And while these upgrades
give a bold and commanding look, it doesn't take away from the
vintage atmosphere. You can see it in the classic body lines,
tapered waistline cab, and rounded rear fenders of the stepside
bed. Plus, there's a nice shine on the chrome bumpers and grille.
The bed also looks terrific with real lumber on the floor. So it's
still grandpa's truck, but just with more attitude.
The interior is clean and attractive. The dash and door panels have
a very classic look and feel, and painted the exterior red for
thoughtful coordination. But just like the exterior, you can also
tell there have been upgrades. The black seating is a newer
addition with patterned velour inserts and a Chevy bowtie on the
seatback. There are additional more comfy features, like plush
carpeting, an AM/FM/Cassette stereo, and cold-blowing air
conditioning. There's also a Grant GT wood-rimmed steering wheel,
auxiliary readouts, and a Hurst Indy shifter to give this a proper
driver's pickup feeling.
Under the hood is a tidy and attractive presentation that shows off
Chevy's 327 V8. The motor has been enhanced with an Edelbrock,
four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, shorty headers feeding
the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. And you get firm control
over it all thanks to the Richmond four-speed manual transmission.
Plus, the power steering, power brakes, front discs, modern touring
tires, and the C10's trailing arm rear suspension make for a solid
cruising pickup.
This is the V8 truck that has a cool story and an even cooler A/C
interior. So you just know you're going to love driving it around
and telling its tale. Call today!!!
