BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this C240 is clean and straight,
especially when considering the age and mileage. While it shows
some signs of use here and there, this car appears to have been
meticulously taken care of all of its life. The body on this car is
truly in incredible condition, and must be seen in person to be
fully appreciated.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint appears to be largely original,
and shows well considering its age. As shown in the photos, there
are some scratches and 'road rash,' but that is to be expected of a
black car at this mileage. The black is a lesser-seen and striking
choice on this C240, and suits a mid-sized 6-speed German sedan
perfectly.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Much like the exterior of this car,
the interior is in remarkable condition for the age and mileage. In
fact, the interior may even be in better condition than the
exterior! The black leather is in excellent shape, and the perfect
choice for a C-class with black paint. Interior imperfections are
present but at an extreme minimum. The original stereo has been
replaced with an Alpine unit, including Apple CarPlay and a backup
camera. The only thing surprising inside this car is the presence
of the clutch pedal and 6-speed shifter!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is the 2.6L V6, standard
equipment for the US-market C240 in 2001. Although the 2.6 is no
horsepower monster, any seasoned driver should find that it is more
than adequate power for a vehicle of this size, and is especially
fun with the 6-speed manual transmission behind it. The air
conditioning and heat both work properly, and this car is simply a
pleasure to drive. With service records dating back to when this
car was new, any Mercedes-Benz enthusiast can appreciate the
maintenance this car has received. The transmission shifts
incredibly smoothly, and the engine is pleasantly quiet. The
original spare tire, jack, and white 'tire changing' gloves are in
place under the trunk floor. This car is ready to rock!

transfer. We can accept checks, but note that any form of a check
will have a minimum hold of 10 business days. This includes
cashier's checks, certified checks, or bank checks of any kind. For
cash received in the amount of $10,000 or more, we will complete an
IRS Form 8300. We can not accept any credit card as payment or
partial payment for a vehicle under any circumstance.
